The Austrian Agency for Research Integrity, as well as its staff members, aspire to ensure the highest security in its communication with member organisations, partners, as well as external persons who seek contact.
Thus, we offer the possibility to contact us via the innovative BKMS-system, which complies with the highest technical requirements as a communication medium.
You may reach out to us with any of your concerns via this system, describe your situation, add and select documents, and choose, in which way you want your concern to be handled by us.
This system protects your communication with the OeAWI from a technical point of view. In comparison to sending an e-mail, the system provides better protection against unauthorized access, be it while sending sensitive data, storing shared commuication, or accessing your mailbox.

With the whistleblower system of the Business Keeper GmbH from Berlin, we have established a simple and simultaneously highly secure communication channel.
The technical security of the software undergoes technical penetration tests in regular intervals and is continuously developed further. At no time the Business Keeper GmbH has access to the content of your communication with the OeAWI.

You have a request concerning research integrity?
You may contact us via the BKMS-system if you want to
- seek for advice at the administrative office of the OeAWI on questions concerning research integrity.
- initiate an investigation by the Commission for Research Integrity by submitting a description of the situation and associated documents for further inspection.
Handling by the administrative office/the Commission
Based on your assessment, either the administrative office, or the Commission for Research Integrity will attend to the concerns brought forward by you.
As soon as we have received your request, we will inform you about the commencement of the handling of your request, as well as provide more information about the process ahead.
It is a matter of the highest importance for the OeAWI to handle the submitted data and information strictly confidential and with great care.
Highly secure communication
Using the communication system provided by the Business Keeper GmbH, enabled by multiple encryption methods and hosted on a high-security server, ensures a technically highly secure communication between you and the OeAWI.
In order to establish such a communication, you may easily create a virtual and encrypted mailbox, which allows for a timely, secure, and if needed, anonymous communication between you and the OeAWI.
