6th World Conference on Research Integrity - Austria was represented by 10 delegates

One of the key conferences in research integrity is the World Conference on Research Integrity (WCRI). The 6th World Conference was held in Hong Kong from 2 to 5 June 2019 with its focus on “New Challenges for Research Integrity”. In addition to open access / open data, the challenges of replicability of research results and trust in science were discussed. Best Practices in Good Scientific Practice Training were shared and questions of cultural differences in the assessment of research misconduct were highlighted. Furthermore, various approaches to better deal with misbehavior in research were discussed.

 

More than 700 participants from different nations participated in the World Conference. Austria was represented by 10 delegates of universities, research funding organizations and the OeAWI. The following representatives participated actively in the program of the World Conference (in alphabetical order):

In 2021, the next World Conference will be held in Africa for the first time. Cape Town has been chosen to host the next WCRI. The exact date will be announced shortly.
