New member organizations
Four institutions have recently been accepted as member organizations by the Austrian Agency for Research Integrity. The OeAWI warmly welcomes the new members and their willingness to actively participate in the promotion of research integrity. Below, the new member organizations are briefly introduced.
Full members
BIFIE – Bundesinstitut für Bildungsforschung, Innovation & Entwicklung des österreichischen Schulwesens
The BIFIE was founded in 2008 by the National Council to promote fact-based education policy and systematic school development in order to continuously improve the Austrian education system. For this purpose, education policy and school administration are required to plan, implement and evaluate effective quality assurance and development measures. This requires regular surveys on the performance of the school system as well as appropriate data analysis and preparation as an important basis. The core tasks include educational monitoring, preparation of the National Education Report, quality development and applied educational research.

IIASA – International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis
The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) is an international research institute with National Member Organizations in Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe. The IIASA conducts interdisciplinary scientific research in areas such as environment, economics, technology and population in terms of the human dimension of global change. The results of IIASA research and the expertise of its researchers are made available to policymakers in countries around the world to help them produce effective, science-based policies that will enable them to face these challenges.

WIFO – Austrian Institute of Econmic Research Vienna
WIFO is Austria’s leading institute for applied empirical economic research. Founded in 1927 by Friedrich August von Hayek and Ludwig von Mises, WIFO analyses and forecasts economic developments in Austria and abroad. WIFO is a non-profit organisation that conducts its scientific work independently of politics and business. The findings of its research activities are designed for use as underpinnings for economic policy and entrepreneurial decision-making and to elevate the economic policy discourse to an objective level.

Transparency International – Austrian Chapter
Transparency International – Austrian Chapter (TI-AC) deals with corruption and transparency in its entirety in Austria. The objective is to carry out ongoing observations and analyzes on the Austrian integrity system, to draw up requirements for measures to strengthen them and to make them independent from politics, legislation and administration.
